A Coastal Getaway & Vintage Inspiration! Sometimes a little time away is exactly what we need to refuel our creativity. I just got back from a trip to the Oregon coast where I spent time with family and friends, enjoyed the salty sea air, and—of course—snuck in a little vintage shopping.
Among the treasures I brought home were some beautiful old seed packets. Their worn edges, faded ink, and charming illustrations instantly caught my eye. There’s something so special about vintage garden ephemera—each packet feels like a small piece of history, connecting us back to the gardeners and families who once tucked them into the soil with hope for blooms to come.
But here’s the exciting part: these seed packets aren’t just fun to collect—they’re perfect for digital creations. Whether you’re into junk journaling, digital scrapbooking, printables, or even DIY tags and labels, vintage paper items like these can add texture, color, and authentic charm to your projects.
I’ll be adding these seed packet designs to my Etsy store soon, so if you love working with vintage-inspired graphics, keep an eye out. They’ll be available as high-quality digital downloads that you can use in your own creative projects.
This little coastal getaway was just what I needed—a mix of family time, fresh inspiration, and a few special finds I can’t wait to share with you.
Stay tuned for the release of the vintage seed packet collection, and in the meantime, I’d love to hear—what’s your favorite way to use vintage images in your own digital creations?
With gratitude & more soon,
Nancie
