Simple ideas that don’t require special tools or skills – Not everyone considers themselves crafty. And honestly… you don’t have to be.

One of the things I love most about digital printables is how simple they can be to use. No fancy tools, no complicated steps—just print, use, and enjoy. So if you’ve ever thought, “I love these, but I wouldn’t know what to do with them…” this post is for you 💛

1. Print & Frame

The easiest place to start

Bookish Wall Hanging

This is my go-to. Print your design on cardstock (or even regular paper), pop it into a frame, and you instantly have a piece of seasonal or everyday decor.

Where to use it:

  • kitchen shelves
  • entry tables
  • bathroom decor
  • small wall spaces

👉 No crafting required—just print and place. FYI – I am in the process of creating an entire collection of bookish printables!

2. Use as Gift Tags

Simple but so charming – Print, cut, punch a hole, and tie with string or ribbon. That’s it. Even the simplest package feels thoughtful when you add a tag—especially with those soft, primitive designs.

3. Add to a Journal or Planner

No pressure, just layering

You don’t need to be a scrapbooker to enjoy this.

Just:

  • tape one onto a page
  • tuck it into a pocket
  • use it as a bookmark

It adds a little personality without needing to “design” anything.

4. Tuck Into Cards or Happy Mail

Small detail, big impact

If you’re sending a card, slip in a small printable.

It can be:

  • a mini piece of art
  • a tag
  • a bookmark

It turns something simple into something someone might keep.

5. Create Simple Seasonal Decor

Rotate pieces throughout the year

You don’t need to redecorate your whole space.

Just swap out a small printable:

  • on a shelf
  • in a frame
  • on a little stand

It’s one of the easiest ways to bring in seasonal touches without a lot of effort (or expense).

📌  Why I Love This So Much

What I love most about digital printables is that they meet you where you are.

You don’t need:

  • a craft room
  • a bunch of supplies
  • or even a plan

Just a printer… and a little curiosity.

📌  A Little Encouragement

If you’ve been sitting on downloads or saving printables and not using them… Start small. Print one. Use it one simple way. That’s more than enough. A lot of the printables I’ve been creating lately—especially my primitive tags—are designed with this exact kind of use in mind. Simple, flexible, and easy to enjoy.

If you’re feeling inspired to try one of these ideas, I’ve been adding new printable designs to the shop as I create them. They’re simple, easy to use, and made for everyday moments like these.

Each photo in this post is linked to the printable or clipart used, so if something catches your eye, you can easily find it.
